French Lessons




French for Travelers

Classes started Wed Jan 18th @ 7:00 - 8:30 in the Circle Cinema Quad. Course content is beginning French - using avoir et être, basic phrases, vocabulary building. The text being used is Pas à Pas. If you've never studied French, or you did but many years ago this is the class for you.

Nanette Melton will be teaching in the 10 week session. The cost is $200 for new students, and $185 for returning students.

Parlons Français

Classes will start in mid February, on Tuesday evenings. The emphasis will be on building conversational skills, with grammar and vocabulary review. Students will be encouraged to discuss current events, and other topics as they gain confidence in speaking French. If you want to take that next step in your fluency with French, then this is the class for you.

General Information


The Alliance Française de Tulsa education program offers ongoing French classes as well as the possibility to take the TCF to enter French speaking universities or exchanges programs.

We provide small, intimate, relaxed French lessons, emphasizing rapid immersion to French. We provide classes for all levels, costing $200 for 10 meetings of 1.5 hours. And for repeat students, families, or couples the cost is $185.

The classes, ranging in size from 3 to 8 students, will offer maximum opportunities to speak and participate - it will be lively, interactive and fun. Grammar concepts will be presented in the context of real life communication and culture, focusing on conversational skills and basic reading, writing and listening. A variety of media will be selected by the teacher will help develop these essential proficiencies.
