- The Alliance Française scarf was produced by Cédric Brochier Soieries in Lyon, France, to celebrate the centennial of the Federation of Alliances Françaises USA in the year 2002. This original design, inspired by the eighteenth century silk patterns of the soieries lyonnaises, features the initials "AF" surrounded by a delicate floral pattern in shades of bleu-blanc-rouge / "red, white and blue" evoking the lasting nature of our French-American friendship.
