Bio:Pastry chef and author Cheryl Wakerhauser (a.k.a. Pix), is known for combining bold flavors and textures into small, adorable dessert creations that are almost too pretty to eat. She trained at the prestigious pâtisserie of MOF Philippe URRACA then moved to Portland to establish Pix Pâtisserie, her 18 year old dessert oasis known for its tantalizing desserts, fun events and extensive champagne list. The beverage list has been awarded World’s Best Champagne and Sparkling Wine List for the last five years in a row by London’s World of Fine Wine Magazine. Her book, Modern French Pastry, shows off her colorful and imaginative style plus her ability to carefully explain recipes and teach any food lover how to create pastry masterpieces.
