Le Pavillon

Founded in 1907 as the New Denechaud Hotel, and later renamed the DeSoto Hotel, Le Pavillon Hotel became what it is today in the 1970s—a charming downtown New Orleans hotel close to tourist attractions like the French Quarter and the Garden District.

Amenities include flat‐screen high definition televisions with premium cable channels and comforts like bathrobes and slippers. The lobby features traditional antiques and art. For dining, the Crystal Room is their signature restaurant and Le Gallery is a convenient spot to meet up for drinks and appetizers. The hotel also has a rooftop swimming pool, a relaxing retreat after a day spent exploring New Orleans.

Click on the link below to reserve your room at the low Federation group rate of $169/night (plus taxes and fees). This rate is valid for reservations from October 15 to October 25 in case you wish to extend your stay to enjoy the Big Easy. You can book a room with one bed or with two if you plan to share costs with another conference attendee.

Who attends the Annual Conference?

The Annual Meeting & Convention is open to any member of an Alliance Française that is a Federation chapter member.  Federation members are welcome to send directors and other staff members as well as board members. Sometimes Alliances send one primary representative, while occasionally as many as eight people from one Alliance attend. The convention is a great motivator for both board and staff members to share information with like-minded individuals  from throughout the nation.

The Délégation Générale will be holding its Réunion des Directors at Le Pavillon on Thursday, October 19. This meeting, conducted in French, is open to representatives from any U.S. Alliance Française chapter. For more information, please contact Nelly Sadoun, Déléguée Générale, at dg@alliance-us.org or (202) 944 6261.
