Please tell us about your current role in your chapter and for how long you have been doing it: I have been President of the Alliance Française of Greenwich with Co- President Gail Covney since 2007.

Previous roles in this chapter, other chapters, or on the FAF board: AF Greenwich Board Member - Federation Board member since 2009 with time off the board as required. Founder of One Film One Federation in 2017 and Chair of Cultural Offerings .

Occupation/profession: Managing Director, Focus on French Cinema

Education/degrees: BS. Georgetown University- 1979

Candidacy Statement - Please write a short summary describing your reasons to join the board (i.e., motivation, experience, vision, highlights).

As a previous member of the AFUSA Board, founding member of One Film One Federation Chair of AFUSA Cultural Offerings, and Suppléante for Zone C on the Fondation Board in Paris, I look forward to continuing to serve the AF community nationally and internationally . My experience as co-founder of Focus on French Cinema of the Alliance Française in 2005, a film festival internationally recognized as a leading francophone film festival in the US as well as my interest in broad spectrum cultural online programming motivates me to continue serving as a member of the AFUSA Board

Description of background and skill sets that would be applied in a board position. These could include expertise in marketing, fundraising, legal expertise, IT experience/graphic design, social media, expertise in the fields of French language pedagogy and francophone culture, etc. 

My background in Francophone film and culture as well as my leadership role at a the Alliance Française of Greenwich will allow me to continue to support the mission of the AFUSA community.
